THE INDELIBLE SELF

The one you truly are can never be removed, washed away, or erased. This is your indelible Self, the archetype of you. In Tielhard de Chardin's terms, the Self is made of "spirit-matter." A brand new archetype is coming into being now, the alchemical marriage of the human psyche with the spiritual soul. And we, dear people, are it! This is the ascension in consciousness you keep hearing about. It is that frustrated restlessness you feel as you enter this gigantic death/rebirth period in your life. A great planetary cycle has ended, and a new one is coming into formation. And the Self is the new inhabitant on the new earth.

Once we recognize, validate, and embody this authentic spiritual essence, we become a Soul-infused Personality. As the archetype of the ideal Human, the Self is both the ultimate source and the divine completion for our species. But there is a paradox here: Though we've always been this essential spiritual Self, we are just now becoming it as an evolutionary fact. We are just now beginning to make conscious who we really are. When you make this identity shift of Self-remembrance, you will no longer be fueled by your ego's needy ways. Instead, your motivations and desires will start arising from your soul's divine qualities of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. Beauty is seeing the sacred essence in everything created. It is Love made visible.

The human kingdom is the fourth kingdom in nature. The archetypal kingdom is the fifth kingdom. The two kingdoms are merging now, to manifest heaven on earth. But we cannot complete the fourth kingdom until we all come fully into our whole and authentic Self. So this is our challenge, and the sacred purpose of our human lives. We are moving up a notch on the evolutionary ladder now. Our old way of being separate egos has died. And the new soul-powered life, though still very fragile and not fully recognized yet, is here.

We've had to work hard to develop a healthy integrated personality so that our psyches can prepare to be the soul's earth mate. The soul will not embody a wounded psyche. So we've had to spend a great deal time healing our past and our emotional imbalances. But our time of seeing our lives through a rear view mirror is over now. The "lords (laws) of evolution" are moving us on. We're being called to step out of our limited ways of knowing ourselves and "come whole." Wholeheartedly, we are to focus now on building the bridge between our earthly experience and our heavenly roots. Then, we can walk this earth as the true and whole Self God made us to be. And this will complete the fourth kingdom in nature, so we can anchor in our next dimension of conscious awareness.

All of humankind is passing through a threshold into this new and deepening experience of our Selfhood. Today, more and more people are becoming aware they have a true Self. I hear from several who tell me they are noticing the difference now when they are coming from a needy ego or from their wise authentic Self. And this awakening is happening spontaneously all over our world. We are making the fifth kingdom conscious, bringing the archetypal world into form. And the archetypal Self has been invoked. So it is moving in, bringing its qualities into our minds and hearts. We are each a unique expression of the one universal archetypal Self. So we are becoming unique archetypes of ourselves. This is a brand new experiment in evolution. Consciousness is evolving to manifest Spirit in every individual human form. And we are that consciousness!

So our species' evolution is our bigger story. We are here to complete the human kingdom -- just as the minerals, plants, and animals have done in the three kingdoms before us. Mythologist Joseph Campbell once said that we’d better have a great big story, or no story at all. It’s all those little stories we tell ourselves that cause us so much trouble. When you can see your bigger story unfolding through this wider lens of your soul's journey through time, you become conscious of yourself as a daughter or son of your Creator. And you remember you are here to bring spirit into all our human ways. Once you realize this, all those little “story lines” you've told yourself that are keeping you stuck in your limited past will start to fall away.

"Unity in Diversity" will be the principle that governs us -- our respectful way of all living together as conscious beings. We can start realizing now that we're all One Soul, while every individual and culture must also be honored for its differences and unique expression. Once this principle takes hold, there will no longer be a need for hatred, competition, bigotry, or war. As Soul-infused Personalities, we will all function through the qualities of harmlessness and divine Love.

It’s here in this “soul-sized” life that your true ideals take shape. It’s here that you gain your Self-remembrance and where your soul powers reside, awaiting your recognition and implementation in this world. I'm reminded here of a poignant statement made by Will Garver, author of Brother of the Third Degree:

I say these powers will be given to you but more correctly,
you give them to yourself, for you even now possess them
though you know it not; nothing can be added
from without, all comes from within.

One day, hopefully, we will all be actively engaged in living as our unique expression of the loving, wise, and indelible Self. I hope what I've written here will give you exactly what you need to make your own ascension in consciousness less chaotic and filled with grace.
