Allow yourself to reflect on a personal problem you are having. See it clearly in your mind Experience the feeling in your body that this problem gives you the emotion the pain Let it come up. Gently breathe into the area around your heart, as you let go of any tightness or anxiety that has come up Feel yourself letting as your body relaxes If you feel any emotion rocking around, breathe quietly in and out for as long as you need to, letting your heart-space become more and more clear of any tension or imbalance Just breathe and relax. (At this point, music can deepen the experiencesome lovely wordless, heartfelt music) Now look back at the scene with the person or people you are having the struggle with, as if you are looking down from above it. See the other or others, the whole scene more clearly with your Heart wide open Feel what the others are going through the hurt the disappointment the fear Now see yourself and "feel into" yourself as well Take on all of it, as much as you can, with open-hearted compassion Find the meaning and sacred purpose of this entire event And send down Love and Light to all concerned Surrender your mind into Love Expand your Heart into true acceptance and forgiveness Embrace the wound in the Light of Understanding and Compassion And love your Self as much as you can from wherever you are with this situtation Then gradually let the scene fade, and slowly come back to this reality. Take some time to reflect on what just happened, and feel whatever else is going on inside your body right now You may want to write or draw for a while, or discuss this experience with a trusted friend. |
