To comprehend the nature of such a catastrophe as this, two levels of consciousness must unite in truth. And we each must find this truth for ourselves.
For me, on the personal level, I see that we’ve been dealt a fierce reminder to hold all those dear to us very close in our hearts as a nurturing mother and protective father would do. Compassion floods our minds and hearts for all those who’ve lost loved ones in this horrific disaster and we feel united with all of humankind everywhere. Humbly, we realize how many in other countries have been devastated by terrorist attacks, as we witness their empathy for us. Did I feel that much compassion for them? I think not. So now our hearts are opening.
And for our health, we must give ourselves permission to feel the ravages of anger, terror, and grief that cloud the human psyche at times like this. Though we must not allow fear or rage to overtake us. Acting on these reactive feelings in thought, word, or deed only increases the violence. We can journal these feelings or process with therapists and friends to keep ourselves clear. And it is imperative now to increase our daily spiritual practice tenfold to steady our selfhood in clarity and non-reaction.
On a universal level, what I see is we are witnessing the work of the One Human Soul. Our archetype is taking on the reservoir of violence and hatred in our world as a sacrificial act, shattering illusions about our impregnable superiority and ripping complacency from our very bones. Yes, we’ve truly watched in horror as the Tower of material prosperity and military power crumble before our eyes, turning thousands of precious lives into ashes. A modern-day Tower of Babel, perhaps. The terrorists, a collective Judas. A transmutation of the highest degree in a fire so hotly burning.
Ancient wisdom tells us the shadow will always rear its ugly head right before any transformation. And the bigger the shadow, the brighter the light that comes to meet it. And indeed, this is a big one. Even an evil act such as this has a sacred purpose if we will stand tall and face it with courage, creative intelligence, and compassion for all who are affected. When evil meets a worthy opponent it is overcome, for a new portal opens and fresh loads of spiritual energy are released upon our world. What we choose to do with this sacred gift from those who sacrificed their lives for our one Soul is up to us. We who are living are called now to remember that we are both human and divine, to know that we can rise above this inhuman barbarity and see clearly what is needed for the whole. Then we can act with spiritual intent and the justice that puts things rightly.
So this is our challenge as the harbingers of a new consciousness whose essential trait is knowing how to live in right relationship to all who inhabit this one earth, no matter what our differences. Unity in diversity will be the new breed. And it’s happening now: we are already seeing from every nation the outpouring of love that lives in the heart of the one Human Spirit.
The loss of these precious lives and destruction of our American symbols of prosperity and power shall not be in vain. We will embody this new consciousness and reshape our world in the light of spiritual truth. The American Spirit was born for this purpose, to lead mankind in freedom away from all old forms of religion and power that do not work for good.
Dear Friends of Eupsychia
This is a time of deep reflection about how the human psyche works and what our current task is to be: Realizing that our personal psyches are each fragments of the larger Human Psyche who is now spewing its core shadow out onto many innocent people. What we need to remember now, more than anything else, is this is the turning point for human consciousness: The darkest past of the human shadow has now revealed itself. We can either remain at a war-like, separative level of consciousness and retaliate with hatred and war. Or, we can rise to a higher station in our human/divine Self and act with the Intelligence, Compassion, and Wisdom of our God-nature. I know that you who have been studying human consciousness and working diligently to heal your own shadow and unfinished wounds from your past are the best vanguards now to help others who may still be more naive about how consciousness works. This is the death/rebirth sequence that precedes the birth of the new human species. Unless this horrid shadow of hatred and violence is met without fear but with the courage of one in a taller stance, we will simply sink into the past, unable to move into our future.The ancient wisdom teaches us that the shadow will always rear its ugly head right before a transformation. And the bigger the shadow, the bigger the transformation. May we all be reminded of this now as we look toward the future we desire to co-create. This is THE BIG ONE. And a big opportunity for good can emerge from the ashes of those who sacrificed their lives in the innocence of just being a human being going to work on a typical day in our human life. May we each hear and be "our part" for this immeasurable world-wide cause.
So, may we all go inward now and listen intently to our deepest wisdom, keeping our hearts open to all beings now existing on this planet. And may we pray not only for all our personal safety, but for the safety of our Earth and all that She represents in our Bigger Story. Our Earth and her peoples are taking an Initiation that will either be met in wisdom, truth and courage to withstand this type of evil and integrate it. Or, we will fail and remain at our same level in evolution -- which will no longer support our evolving Self. This is the time when the Dweller on the Threshold (the Human Archetypal Shadow) is meeting the Angel of the Presence (The Spiritual Soul).
More practically speaking: Now is the time to hold all those dear to you very close in your hearts with a sense of the nurturing Mother and the Protective father. And to honor all that you know as Truth and Love. And to take care of yourself and not become reactive. Whatever daily spiritual practice you do, increase it tenfold. Don't allow fear or anger to take you over, but do allow your human self to grieve, to feel this anger, to be confused, and to feel helpless, for these are all natural feelings for the personal ego self. Journal these feelings instead of acting on them. And simultaneously, remember that you are both human and Divine and rise above this condition and see what is needed for the Whole, see what is "your part" to be and do. Then take responsibility for doing your part. We are called to remain active now, rather than reactive, This is our challenge. We have come here to be the hargingers of the new consciousness. So now we must model it in every way possible in all our activities.
May each of you be blessed. And know that you are not alone. And may each of you who has lost a loved one or know people who have, my heart is so very open to you, with the deep sorrow that goes with this type of tragedy for any one of us individually.

Memo: To All Interested in Eupsychia

This is a time to remember our bigger purpose here and to NOT fall prey to fear or loss of will (though we do realize these feelings will naturally come up). This is exactly what the terrorists would celebrate. They want us to tear down America with our own terror, uncertainty, and lack of courage.
So! Here are our suggestions to help you stay centered in your Selfhood that is both human and divine, who knows how to rise above every human condition, even in the very midst of it, and see it all in its authentic wholeness and the greater purpose that it serves:
1) First of all, do NOT cancel trips, training or healing events you've planned to attend because you are afraid to fly or travel. This takes America down in every possible way. The terrorists are way too smart to try exactly the same tactic again. Their whole modus operandi is to surprise their enemy. If there are other terrorist attacks (which may not even happen anytime soon in this country), they will not use the very same tactics we're now on to and are prepared to meet with intelligence and force. Think about it: They have shown us their cunning. And, unless you are a soul who committed to come here and sacrifice your physical life to make a point, you will not be a victim of any downed plane or crashed train. And that’s a promise.
2) Decide instead to increase the healing and educational opportunities in your life right now, for you may be called to serve in a greater way than before. And especially when you can be with a group of other compatible souls committed to healing and service. This is very empowering. What’s needed now is for all of us to come more fully into our authentic power and help guide others who may not be as far along as you in knowing how to raise consciousness -- which frankly, is the most needed work right now.
3) If you feel Eupsychia's community has what you need for your healing and/or guidance and support in coming out more strongly, then sign up for our coming 10-day event in Georgia this October. Start out early and drive. Or fly. But come! Let us help you work out the details about money or travel plans. Money or travel worries should most definitely not be the blocks that hold you back. This is buying into materialism as our God. We must realize it was the Tower of material prosperity that was struck by a ball of fire in NY.... America's symbol for material finance and prosperity. Not that those things are bad -- at all! We all deserve to be prosperous.And that Tower has already fallen. Your psyche is your soul! So let your psychological and spiritual urges guide you instead of the "lords of materialsim," who just love to paralyze us in our sacred work. This is plainly the kind of wake-up call that reminds us to look more closely at our priorities and not allow fear or lack of resolve to move us off the mark.
4) This weekend here in Austin we worked with 100 mental health professionals for two days and one evening, teaching soul-based psychology and skills for bringing in the new paradigm of health, education, recovery, and psychology. All seemed hungry for what we brought and what transpired in such an open-hearted fashion. And every one present represented the helping fields of social work, psychology, counseling, guidance, religion, and addiction recovery. Every person there had a sphere of influence of their own! Many left with Eupsychia material and dozens of our books and tapes!! This is a sign that the paradigm shift is truly upon us in the larger people-helping world. So we must respond to the Call by healing our own psyches, learning more about how the psyche functions, and have the courage to guide and teach others how to move on now to their next level of integration and service.
5) If you are feeling called to either bring more healing to yourself and your family, or to guide others for this powerful transformational process, do come be with us at any of our events you can attend. We feel we have a great gift to offer this world right now. And you are needed out there! "When two or more come together in the name of spiritual intent........" miracles happen -- as did this weekend here in Austin with our group.
6) Again, to hold steady in our courageous, freedom-loving American way, we simply cannot let things like travel and money paralyze us. We can have faith in this evolutionary process that's being guided by a much higher Order of Reality than we can even imagine! These fears will arise in our consciousness only to be seen and met with the strength, wisdom and compassion of your soul.
7) Go inward, and really listen to your inner Self. Record your dreams. Journal. Pay attention. And you will hear the message from your soul and get beyond any feelings of impotence or lack of faith this wounding may have caused. There are countless past woundings that have never healed as well, which also will arise in our collective psyches. We now have another chance to overcome the dualism and hatred that remain untouched by love and true intelligence here. And remember:
